Nashik District Kho Kho Association (NDKKA) form in the year 1973 is a registered organisation working for the betterment of Kho Kho and players.Last 15 years NDKKA has initiated a program in which they are working on the promotion of the sports culture in Rural-Tribal areas in and around Nashik.

Our Story

Organization:

Kho-Kho is the sport of Maharashtrian soil, which tests your speed, skills, flexibility, quickness and ability to make right decision at right time. This is one of the ancient games, if we look into the history. We can find few references of this sport in "Mahabharata" as well. History of this sport in Nashik begins from the childhood of Mahraraja Sayajirao Gaikwad, Baroda. played Kho-Kho in his childhood Kaulane Village, Malegaon.

Kho-Kho had been propagated and promoted across the country by Maratha sardar where they ruling like Baroda, Indore, MP, Telangana, Hyderabad, Bailgaon. It gradually became a part of their culture.

Kho-Kho was included in both category i.e. Men & Women for the first time in January 2016 at Gohati (Assam) where South Asian Sports competition organise and both the section India won the gold medal. Our Men & Women team won constitutive gold medal in 3rd Asian Kho-Kho championship in June 2016 at Indore (M.P.)

Accurate decision making and hard work will take a person to the heights of success and Kho-Kho teaches us this principle.

Kho-Kho:
It is a sport which is known for its connectivity Maharashtrian soil and has the ability to reach up to sky and by your efforts it has nourished and flourished in Nashik. Speed and Intelligence are the two pillars of Kho-Kho and you have redefined them successfully to enrich the game.

The speed in this game depicts quickness in chasing and footwork while the intelligence represents the ability to identify target and the effort put in to achieve it. We assure you that we'll follow the path laid down by you. And we'll strive to drive all our efforts towards the progress of this Sport and the players. Your contribution to Kho-Kho has been enormous and we dedicate Nashik's first All India invitational tournament to your memories.
